Job Openings
Kankakee Community College provides a stimulating and rewarding work environment. Faculty, administrative and support staff positions become available periodically so you are encouraged to visit this site often.
Hiring is handled through the Office of Human Resources.
The office of Human Resources, located at the Riverfront campus, 1st floor of the Welcome Center, maintains a file of all advertised/posted open positions. Staff openings may be advertised in The Daily Journal, or another local newspaper of general circulation in District 520. Full-time administrative and instructional openings are generally advertised online with The Chronicle of Higher Education, HigherEdJobs.com, and/or other print or digital media.
If, in the opinion of the director of human resources, there exists sufficient recent applications on file to provide a large number of qualified applicants from which to select, the position will not be advertised outside of posting on KCC’s job website.
Applications for employment for existing, open positions or for part-time instructor positions will be accepted online. No unsolicited applications will be accepted except for adjunct faculty.
While applicants are encouraged to submit complete resumes, credentials, letter of reference, and/or unofficial transcripts(indicating degree earned and date conferred), all applicants must complete a KCC online application for employment prior to an interview. Application materials will be maintained by the Human Resources office for a period of one year after the date the position is filled.
